Prof Richard Wiseman has carried out research into several unusual and quirky areas of psychology, including luck, deception, humour, and the paranormal.

In addition, he is well known for designing and conducting mass-participation projects, including LaughLab, one of the world’s largest interactive experiments involving 350,000 people from 70 countries.

His work is reported in over 40 academic journal articles, eight books, 10 book chapters and over 30 national and international conference papers.
